I bought it at the flea market,, can anyone guess what it is?? I have no clue.. looked neat.. so i got it

    is it possible to look up a patent number quickly and easily? That would give you some idea of what it is...

    Whatever it is it looks cool. Another shmuck that engraves his serial number on the face though.

    Maybe a line level to speaker level converter, or vice-versa?

    Oops, I just saw the U.S.N. on the engraving. No question about it, it's a aircraft carrier nuclear reactor. I have two of them already.

    It is an old piece of ham radio equipment made by Barker & Williamson, maybe from the 1960s. Used somehow in the process of transmitting and receiving using HF Band radio. Don't know much more about it though.

    Its free.

    It was rampant in the military also. Make some nice looking pieces really ugly that way. Guess nobody ever thought of engraving on the **** end.
