My Wife Bought Me New Speakers for my Birthday

Actually she decided it was Ok for me to buy some new ones, but since my system is in the central part of the house the WAF had to be part of this equation. I recently spent some time with a set of Tyler D3s in my system that were being sold locally. They sounded very nice but the previous owners had Ty apply a very red stain to them that did not work in our environment and their sound was clean but a little laid back for my system. I attended the Axpona audio show here in Jacksonville in March and really liked the sound in the the Audio Physic (AP) distributor's room. Subsequently during my speaker search I came across an opportunity to audition and acquire a pair of the AP Tempo speakers. I received them yesterday and spent last evening with a large smile on my face. They have brought my system to a new more involving level. They are a three way design with laterally firing base drivers that in their opposite motion cancel out cabinet vibration. The sound stage is wider and deeper than I thought they would produce and the detail they express is exactly what I was looking for. (And the wife approved )

    Thank you all

Maxamillian - they are actually silver woven material on the outside (Zu Mother Cables) that decided to have a fun reaction with the camera flash.

Steve - you are welcome anytime. Maybe we can get RT1 to migrate south and all get together

Anyone who listened to my monitors at Polkfest last fall and might be interested - they are for sale.

Few more hours on the setup tonight and it seems to really be opening up. The speakers were used, but after 24 hoursmtheynsound better. Maybe just acclimation, maybe my insanity, either way after today at work this was great to come home to. Thanks everyone for your kind words.
Just switched to vinyl and ............ it could be a late night.
