A classic. Very true to the book. Good special effects and a new story idea which I'm sure will be imitated soon. Definately will buy this on video when it's available. Don't knock it if you haven't seen it or read it.

    I watched this movie on DVD the other day at my friend's house...it's cool...He bought it from China in the black market for a buck... dang...

    the books are great i was curious so my wife bought me the first book, i couldnt get enuff, i am not big on reading and this series has kept my attention. i will watch the movie when it comes out on dvd.
    cant say that i go to the movie theater too much..mine sounds better !!!!!
    been once this year to see shrek time b4 that was to see phantom menace
