They look great. Are you going to need a 6 inch pedestal to get them to ear level? How tall are they?

The floor standers are 40" high plus the spikes I use put the tweeters at ear level in reference to my seating position. The Monitor version comes with an 8" pedestal to raise it up.

The following is an excerpt from the Tyler Acoustics ad on A'gon......

Tyler Acoustics MM5 mastering monitors. This is a brand new model in the Decade line. We've had a lot of customers over the years asking for a nice 3way monitor that would have really good bass in a reasonable size and price. This model fits the bill with a 10" woofer,6"midrange and a 1" soft dome tweeter. Magnetic grills and premium single or biwire posts. Also available in a floorstanding version. They are available in over 80 finishes. 5yr warranty.

I really like the driver configuration. I find the growing circumference of each driver from tweeter to woofer to be very pleasing to the eye in these types of designs. I hope they sound as good as they look.

I really like the layout also. I almost had Ty build me a pair like this last year. I'm sure they will sound very good. I have a pair of Tyler Acoustics 7U with the Seas Millenium tweeter upgrade and I love them, just needed a bit more bass. If these work out like I think they're going to, I'll probably put my 7Us on the market.

    Decal,
What volume level do you listen at? What type of music do you like?

I listen to mostly classic rock and blues with a little jazz (think Miles and Monk) thrown in. I like to listen a bit louder than most folks but not earth shattering volumes. Why do you ask VR3?

Just curious - I have had a set of the Decade D2 and D3 in my possession and so far no one else has had my impression except people that have heard them on my system...

So I am just curious in what you hear!

These things sound really, really good right out of the box. I'm getting the extra low end that I wanted at no cost to the sweet midrange and highs that my 7U's were giving me. I actually prefer the tweeters that Ty is using now over the Seas Milleniums that are in my 7U's (never thought that would happen!!!!). I'm gonna spend the rest of the evening listening to tunes, can you blame me?
