Warning! Some links contain huge photos :(

I bought 4 of these TV mounts to hang Monitor 40s with http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10828&cs_id=1082806&p_id=6514&seq=1&format=2
They were $14.84 each, $72 for all including shipping. I think they are going to work out great! They are a 75mm/100mm mount pattern which is about 3"/4". It's just right for the back of a monitor 40. They are solid heavy steel. The welds on them aren't pretty but look substansial. The hinges on it are very solid. It's rated at 30 pounds. M40's are 16 pounds. I know many use these: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_121AM40B/Pinpoint-AM40.html?tp=586 but I'm a cheap old man. With these MonoPrice mounts I have way more movement, my rear port can be 13" from the wall, and they were less then 1/4 the price of the AM-40's.
I know I put holes in my speakers. I don't care. They were $129/pair with free shipping. They aren't heirlooms.

Huge photos start here
Here is the mount with a can of ghetto beer for comparision.

Here is the mounting hardware. You really do want to connect to a stud or solid plaster. You only have two wall mount holes. Included TV VESA screws and a *BIG* bolt/moly set for wall attachment:

This is the back of the speaker with the mount attached. I used whatever 1/2" screws I dug out of my screw bag first. Sorry I didn't hold the camera straight. The entire thing looks crooked in the photo, but it's actually fairly straight!

This shows it at minimum extension. These guys swivel any way you could want. But their up/down is only about 15 degrees each way. 30 degrees total. http://www.lotsoffun.org/share/mount4.jpg

This is at maximum extension. The mount is all heavy steel and should be able to hold it out that far easily. Excuse the dirty rug rat that saw daddy with a camera..:)

I'll do another post here tomorrow after I bolt it to the wall, showing the arm in various positions. I think they are going to be fine. Maybe awesome for the money!
