Advice on HT setup in Family / Living Rooms

I'd like to get an advice on Polk Audio speaker placement and selection in both rooms - Family and Living Room.

NOTE: Family Room will mostly be used for games/kids, while Living Room for DVD/TV watching and music

Here is my planned setup:

Denon AVR-1912 Receiver - for each room
Polk Audio PSW110 Subwoofer (100-watt, 32-250Hz) for each room as well.

Family Room
MC65 Center under TV and Front L/R on the wall
RC60i Rear L/R in-ceiling

Living Room
RC85 Center in wall under TV (too bad I will have to keep one extra)
RC80i Front and Rear L/R in-ceiling

So here are the questions/confusions I have still:

In Family Room (FR)
FR-a) I was told not to mix 8" and 6" woofers. Instead I was told, that since this is a fairly small room, its better that I have 6" for all speakers for better acoustics/sound/timbre to match on woofer size. Is that so? I was thinking of getting 8" woofer for Central as I am being told thats where most of the dialogue/sound comes from.

FR-b) Then on top of that I was told that FRONT speakers need to be the SAME model. So getting MC65 center and RC85 front R/L sides is not that great, instead I was told to get MC65 center/left/right, and get RC60i in the rear. (again to stay within 6" woofers). Is that the case as well regarding same model of front speakers?

FR-c) Then to confuse me even further, I was told that I can actually flip MC65 and put it horizontally, as long as I pivot tweeter towards center. However, others said no way possible, and it needs to go as is. How about flipping RC85i one? Please advise.

In Living Room (LR)
LR-a) I was told not to get different mix for central and front left/right speakers here as well. And instead get RC80i all around (and just keep extra one I guess since they come in pairs). So here again, I've heard that I should put more money into center speaker and left/right can be a bit less, and thats exactly what my original configuration had in mind. But now I am thinking of putting Central below TV and have L/R front/rear in-ceiling. Does this combo work well? Having central under TV and all others on the ceiling?

LR-b) Some pictures on the web of the ideal home theater setup show that if I am sitting in center location that is 10ft away from the TV, then front left/right need to be 5ft away from central one but in a circular fashion, so that distance from central seating area be the same to each left/central/right speaker. BUT, most guys say that front speakers should all be on the same line (meaning that if central is 10 ft away, then left/right will be 11+ ft away).

LR-d) Then I was told that tweeters on in-ceiling speakers move 15 degrees only for Polk Audio, and that it will not be enough for 10ft distance and this whole setup will not work at all because the sound will always hit the floor in front of me from front speakers. So here again, I was offered vanishing series Polk but they are much much more expensive than RC models. And some other brand name in-ceiling speakers offer 100 degree tilting instead, so should I maybe go for these then and point them directly at the seating area? Or will RC80i ones will work as well?

So what do I do here guys, please help.
