Polk PSW100

My mate has given me a Polk PSW100 sub and I am hooking it up to a pair of RT8's main, CS250 centre and POLK LS flx rear what setting should I have on the back, follow RM Satellites, M Series Minimonitor or S Series. I think it should be S Series but want to make sure.

Cheers

    Welcome to the forum,
What receiver do you have and how are you hooking up the sub? Using sub out or speaker level in. I dont understand the latter part of your post. The more info we have the easier it is to help.

Thanks for the welcome, I have a Yamaha DSP-A1 and I am hooking the sub up via line out on the sub (not via speaker cable) and mono in on the amp. On the back of the sub it has got volume and freqency and some diagrams of where you should set the knobs if you have certain Polk speakers hooked up ie RM Satellites, M Series Minimonitor or S Series, I have none of these but have RT8s so which diagram ie volume and freqency should I follow? I hope this makes sense look forward to your advise.

    Cheers

ok, well for volume it should be calibrated with an spl meter. If you dont have one set the sub to -3 dB and turn the volume to 1/3 to 1/2 whatever sounds best without sounding strained or boomy. For the crossover I would turn it up all the way and let the avr do the filtering. I am not sure about the 100 but on some polk subs you can bypass the filter by using a y-splitter on the sub cable. Dont forget to experiment with sub placement, it can make a huge difference.
