I found that on the Electronics Expo circular...just wanted to share it. I have the 55" and the picture is FANTASTIC!!!!

I just read that that special is in store only....so it may only help the few that live nearby.

Son of a &*($#!
Now you made me buy one of these!
Time to enter the modern age and get rid of the picture tube!
Good call, welcome to the digital age!
I would rather spend the extra $200 for the GT series than get the ST series, so I think you made the right call!Living Room 7.1 HT Rig:

^yeah, I had been planning on picking up a 55GT30, but since the 55s went up a little, the 65" was almost the same price...
Anybody think a good old Sony WEGA XBR 36" Picture Tube TV will be worth selling, or should I donate it? I am in the military and that extra 300+ pounds probably won't get moved this time...HT: Ninja Master LSi9s, Ninja Master LSiC, Slightly Modded LSiFXs, Modded LSi7s, Outlaw LFM-1 EX and Polk PSW125

I purchased the 55ST30 a few weeks ago and had a problem with it 9 days after I bought it. Had the unit repaired and has been working fine since then. IMHO, I don't think the ST50 is worth $500 more. With that being said, if I had the extra $, I would seriously consider the VT line, even last years model.

Donating might be a good idea. At least you can take a "book value" deduction off your taxes :rolleyes:Living Room 7.1 HT Rig:

Sams Club model is the TC-P60S30 not the ST version....I was already thinking on how to convince the wife until I saw it was only the S version. -
