We all spend a lot of time on-line bitching about our experiences with retailers, tradesmen, service people, etc, etc. It seems it's human nature to post about the bad experiences and pass along negative information.

Well, I decided since it's human nature to post about negative experiences I'd post about a very positive experience I recently had with Parts Connexion. Everyone knows in the past I have been reluctant to order from them because while there products are top notch and they never mess up an order it has been my experience that they are very slow and don't always follow shipping directions.

I needed some caps and resistors to complete my parts bin for an upcoming RT-25i x-over upgrade. I choose my parts and as is the norm you email them the order form and then they send you back a "quote" with shipping, etc. In the past that has taken anywhere from a day to 3 days, IMO 3 days being entirely too long. They had a quote to me in less than 3 hours the same day.

That was a Thursday, I didn't confirm and pay for my order until Friday morning. Friday afternoon I received a confirmation that my order had shipped!! Usually that takes atleast day and I've waited up to 5 days for that confirmation. That was refreshing. I requested they be sent Air Mail (USPS). Yesterday about noon I received my order. HOLY CRAP that was fast from Canada no less. I've waited longer for stuff from either coast USA to USA.

So I have to say with the 50% off the capacitors and the extremely quick transaction and shipping that my experience this time around with Parts Connexion was top notch. I guess I'll have to use them again. :cool:

    Amazing how it takes extra effort to be positive but it is worth it. I have only had a couple of experiences with Parts Express and it was fine. Maybe they heard their customers feedback and did something about it, if thats the case good on them.

    I am running 70% with them. Had a couple bad with a bunch of good. It happens to most places from time to time.

    I have had nothing but good experiences with Parts Connexion. While I have had to wait for a quote one time they did make it right by offering a extra 10% off making mine 30% at the time. I also like the fact that they try to helps us out down here in the U.S. in my case 100.00 worth of parts they listed at 15.00 on the shipping label. I believe that helps on the fee for customs. anyway glad to hear you're happy with the order Brock.

    Ordered there recently. Very responsive via e-mail but the package took a while to get here. I wasn't in a hurry but I was happy with the price and parts I received (clarity caps and mills resistors). :cool:

    H9 does bring up a good point, we **** about everything under the sun but fall back on our heels when compliments are needed. Glad you guys had a good experience with them. I know here at least we tend to praise Polks CS, and well deserved too.
    Never order anything from Parts express, but will give them a shot if /when I do based on what I'm hearing.

    Actually its Parts Connexion, in Canada. Shipping for small packages isn't out of line either. I think my shipping for a small box was about $7. Pretty normal these days.

    If that package was going the other way it would be 2-3x higher in cost.

    Thanks for posting H9. I didn't know they were Canadian at first when I was browsing their site.
