Can anyone provide me with a ceiling lift product as to the title above? The speaker is only required to be exposed when in use via remote control. I have taken a look through lots of websites though cannot find any product to house a speaker of this size and weight. speaker is this one: http://www.communitypro.com/files/literature/spec%20sheets/IHP1296_SPEC.pdf

There is a concrete slab above the finished ceiling to attach the lift to, the ceiling surrounding the demountable panel (1100x620mm approx) will be standard 12.5mm plasterboard with plaster skim.

Thanks

Spink. :)

I'm pretty sure that is something that will have to be custom fabricated. I may be wrong, have been before.

There is a company called Inca that makes lifts that can be hung to lower speakers from the ceiling.

Look up Concealed Speaker Lifting Systems.

I am sure technology has come quite a ways as far as the remote goes. Many years ago, I used to build custom coaches. I installed many a hidden monitor in end tables for Prevost. The lift link provided in regards to INCA is really a snazzy way to go and they work well. Be sure you tell them you want it activated by a programmable remote or you will get an infrared remote the size of a loaf of bread. Also with that shape of speaker I would look at tilt instead of vertical lift. Just my .02. Good luck, cool idea!
    Too much **** to list....
