Sound deadening experts out there?

Just bought new construction and I got a few thoughts going through my head on how I want to design my next media room (ironically it will be similar to my current). The house hasn't started construction so it would be starting from the ground up.
The media room will be in our Bonus room on the 2nd floor above the garage. The walls will share with a Bathroom and then my 3 year old's closet. I am debating if its even worth my trouble to sound proof the wall the bedroom is on. Would I get enough drop in Db's to bother doing sound board and foam insulation on that wall or I will just be wasting my money? The only other part that would be concerning is the door. Do they make jam kits that can seal that part off?
Any input is appreciated. I don't want to piss money away for no reason.

I'm no expert, but my thought would be to soundproof the bedroom and bathroom walls. I also think that you'd have better luck sealing a single door instead of the double doors and see if they can make that single door open out instead of in.Political Correctness'.........defined

Good suggestions, but in my experience the best sound deadening comes from the lack of kids or wife or both for optimal silence.HT SYSTEM-

I have a feeling above the garage and those double doors a serious HT room is going to noise the whole house.

I think it would be worth it to soundproof the interior walls, especially if you'll be using the room after the little guy's asleep. Jesse's got a good point about going with a single entry door, I'd use a solid core wood or fiberglass door with some type of sweep at the bottom. Stone wool insulation in the walls would help with sound transmission and wouldn't be too difficult to implement. If you really want to be effective, the next step would be to alter the way the walls are constructed. I'd use a 2x6 top and base plate for the interior walls, alternating 2x4 studs so that the drywall on either side is not attached to the same stud. This decouples the two resonant surfaces (the drywall). Use homasote or similar as a first layer of wall of drywall, then a second layer of regular drywall, oriented so the seems of one layer cover the next layer, and attach the two layers together with drywall screws and Green Glue between them.

Thanks for the feedback. I definitely want to flip the doors so they open out. Not sure if converting the double doors into a single will be an option. The wife will be a hard sell. She likes the double doors (go figure).
Lasareth, the stone wool I haven't come across yet in my searches so that is very helpful, thanks!
Strider, I had come across the green glue in google searches, but the diagram is good insight. My Home Theater (WIP):
