Would this be a go or a no go?
Could I run 4ohm surrounds with 8ohm speakers, LSiFX surrounds with RTiA's?
Is that possible or would it upset the flow of the set up?

Nothing wrong with running 4 ohm surrounds and 8 ohm mains as long as the system is calibrated on all channels and your amp is up to the task of powering 4 ohm speaks.

Do I hear a full LSi upgrade soon?!?

My receiver can be set to either; 4 ohm or 6-18 ohm. So do I just set it to 4 ohm and let it power all the speakers that way?Do I hear a full LSi upgrade soon?!?
With my RTiA's still sporting that new car smell, a n d, with my recent 2ch rig inquiry, I've already been considering it, my wife on the other hand, was considering chopping off my head if I pursued it anytime soon :cheesygrin:Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

My bad. I thought you plan to run the LSi off your Emotiva.
From what I remember, it is best to leave the receiver at 8 ohms. But the problem is running the LSi with a receiver. A lot of receivers just can't handle that kind of load.
If you plan to use your receiver to power the rears, the RT series rear speakers would be a much better choice.
I ran my LSi9 on an onkyo 575 when I first got them. No good compared to seperates.
Is there a reason why you want the LSi rears instead of RT's to compliment your mains? -
I'd say, but honey, they were a reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally good deal!
You should be fine running the LSi's off of your avr, if everything else is amped I wouldn't worry. Hopefully you can place them well, I couldn't so I had to go a different route. If I could, I'd have timber match. Good luck! -

I was originally going with the FXiA6's to go with the RTiA's, then I saw that LSiFX on the ebay site; I was thinking two driver and two tweets instead of one driver and two tweets, but then I noticed the ohm difference.
I'll be running a 5.1 for awhile, just the A9's, CSiA6 and my surrounds, I have 5 channels of amplification, and in the near future, I'll add the extra two channels to complete my 7.1.
So, probably not a great idea to mix the 4 and 8 ohm speakers?Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

There's nothing wrong using 8 ohm fronts and 4 ohm surrounds. Any problem that may occur would be from the receiver not having enough juice to power the LSi properly which can lead to clipping, distortion, or damaged drivers. Also, the sound signature will be different between the two lines. Some people can hear it when the whole set up is running while others don't or don't care.
If you really want the LSi, I suggest getting a used 2ch external amp so you can power them properly. I still think you're better off with the RT line of surrounds, imo. It's the tweeters that's going to give you that spacious sound. -

Good enough! Thank you very much for the input. I'll just keep it simple go for the FXiA6 and keep the series matching.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2
