A balanced connection in most cases will only make a noticeable difference if all your connections are balanced from source to pre to amp. Those cables for balanced to RCA are used more so for compatability issues. Are you having a problem with noise in the first place ?

Not having any problems really, in my opinion. I was told here on the forum I believe, that it would make a difference in sound Quality.
My system does sound great now. just like some of you guys,I'm always open to trying something new hoping it would make a difference in sound quality.

Good point Pietro, and exactly why many use that type of cable. Hows things rockin' up by you ? Any changes in the system lately ?

Cardas makes a nice balanced to unbalanced adapter.

Yea,i bought the Emp55ti speakers on clearance for $400......Got a new Rel T-5 subwoofer and just received 2 Sylvania VT-231 tubes(1945,NOS) for my Yaqin Tube buffer....these tubes are phenomonal!......no money left for food or rent......but,who cares, when you have new audio gear(lol).

I've been on the hunt for a new Dac with the Sabre chip, like the Yulong D-18 or the M-Dac,but now I'm thinking I'll get the Oppo-95,rather than just go for a high-priced Dac.......I'm falling so far down the audio rabbit-hole,I may never see daylight again....still not bad for someone who lives on SSI:mrgreen:

You aren't going from balanced to unbalanced without circuitry built in. You can "adapt" all you want, but it won't help.

He'll have more gain and possibly more dynamic range. If you're interested in the Cardas adapters, PM me, I believe I have an extra pair.

Not to be a pain, but can you explain how this creates more gain when it can't be using both sides of a balanced signal? The gain is only increased when 2 signals are present. Am I missing something? These adaptors that I am seeing are simply eliminating one side of the signal, which is basically making it unbalanced. Does the Cardas version have any circuit in it or is it strictly a matter of dropping a leg, like I think. I need to understand......
