this goes out to everyone for help but from what ive read on here and what other members have said is that tony b knows his stuff. so i just picked up a brand new marantz 6005 avr for $300. still stoked about it. right now running monitor 70 front 50s back cs2 center psw125 sub. will be upgrading all speakers and sub in near future and will be going with a full 7 speaker set-up. prob be going with rti 10s or a7s with corresponding surrounds and center. my ? is what is a good amp or amps at a good price to run current and future speakers. and how do i hook it up to avr. i know rca's from avr to amp but speaker hook ups. Heres the bad word bi-amp no bi-amp I DONT KNOW.

Relax bro, anyone here can help ya besides me. LOL.....So I take it you want to use the Marantz 6005 for the RTI10's or A7's ? The 10's and the 7's are both 8 ohm speakers so I don't see a problem there, they do benefit from seperate amps though but that goes for about any speaker in general. I'm not too familiar with that AVR, so if you want to add an amp, just make sure it has preouts to do so. Adding an amp is not a necessity in your case, but it will benefit you. Bi-amp or not....up to you. Depends of coarse on the amp you get. Personally, I wouldn't do it with just the AVR but thats just me. You certainly won't hurt anything if you try. If your in the market for an amp, look at Parasound, B&K, Adcom, Sunfire/carver, and a cast of others.

RCA's go out to the amp, speakers connect from the amp. You need one RCA for every channel you want to amp. So if you want to just amp up the front 3 speakers, you can let the receiver handle the rest and that means a 3 channel amp, and 3 RCA's.......as an example.

Depends on budget of coarse too, but first take it slow. Get your speakers, hook them up to the AVR, calibrate, and see how it all sounds before deciding on an amp. Don't go crazy and turn the volume dial like a top all the way up though. Know what I'm saying brother ? Temptation....new speakers, age old story. If ya need help calibrating, setting up the sub, whatever....come on back and ask. Welcome to the club btw, stick around, cruise the forum, take your shoes off and relax.
