hello all. i am going to look at a Carver mxr130 to buy..i know nothing about Carvers. ive done some research online. thats it. im new at equipment like this. i read something about them heating up or something like that. i think it stated that it can be fixed. maybe this one has. i will question it. the guy selling it works on carver items alot. this reciever will be a temporary unit for my speakers i just got. Sda2....rta15tl for rears...are there any issues i should ask about before i purchase this unit. any feedback would be helpful. also is 175.00 a good price. as i feel it is. not knowing anything about this stuff doesnt help me. BUT im eager to learn. thank you

I would NEVER try to drive two pairs of Polk speakers with a two channel Carver amp. I think smoke would be seen. If you want definite tech answers I'd suggest that you go the site I linked on your other thread. Or...not.

I've heard very good things about that Demon POA-2200. I'd be interested in your take on it.

i LOVE this amp..i got it for 200.00 on clist from someone i know 70 miles from home in portland maine. . it is very good from what i can tell. but then again im a newbee. i actually got it hooked direct to cd player to amp to speakers. wow does it crank. clear clean. ohhhh i will baby it though.i was looking at adcoms but i saved 100.+ dollars or more ..i dont need my ears to bleed. i love my sda2's so i dont need a amp thats going to explode them. but denon amp is pretty powerful. i picked up a H.K.3470 for 100.00 MINT so im in heaven tonight. thank you for viewing thread..
