Thanks!! Truth be told, I offered the money only knowing what the speakers were. It was not until the day before I picked them up did I ask what the "power source" was. I told the guy he was asking too little for what he had. He told me he appreciated my honesty but he just wanted to get rid of the stuff because he did not have time anymore. I kid you not.

That is a great deal. Sell the Naks and use the money to upgrade the heck out of the 1.2's :)

John, you may be thinking of the PA7-AII, the first series has design issues and will need servicing if it hasn't already had it done. Good news is that it doubles as a space heater in the winter time!

I've owned the Naks and the 1.2 - still have the 1.2!

    Again, amazing score!

You know... If I find a great deal and it's too far for me to travel, I usually alert the person of the current market value... **** move to audiophiles in that persons general area, but at the same time good for the guy selling. I think lots of people are unaware of there equipment's value, maybe because they inherited it?

    Anyways, AMAZING SNAG!!!

    WOW...
Just checked completed ebay listings and the PA-7 went for around $1k and the CA-7A went for $829.
So you got almost $3k worth for $850.
    That's not a score, that's highway robbery.

I love seeing great scores like that!

I had a serious score myself and added to my list with one hit. I went back to the same guy yesterday and walked out with KEF c75's, NHT super ones, and a Klipsch center channel rcx-4, all for $100.

That's an unbelievable score. Great speakers, great amp, great pre-amp! 850! Heck yeah!

I have the Nakamichi CA-5 as a pre in another system (it's a passive pre-no tone controls), which is pretty neutral and nice...what goes in goes out. The pre interferes with very "little" in its path.

And with that Stasis amp. You're pretty much set. Plus if you're a vinyl guy (I merely dabble-been there done that-everything was vinyl in my youth, oh and R-T-R) the Nak pre-amps have excellent phono sections!

    Have fun!

Most people say I've went off the deep end, but grid works too. I have to say, the original SRS speakers are better sounding than I thought they would. I say that as the previous owner of SRS 1.2TLs. What could be making a world of difference is the supporting electronics. The PA-7 is a wonderful amp and the CA-7A is a great match for it (obviously). The combo has noticeably better dynamics and clarity than my Aragon Soundstage. Did not expect that, the Aragon is a very solid piece in it's own right. Still toying with position a bit, but so far I like what I'm hearing!!
