Differences between the CSI A6 and CSI 40?
Hi to all. As I pointed out in a prevous thread, I am replacing my front mains from the RTI 70 to either the A7 or A9. Should I also replace my CSI 40 with the CSI A6? Is there enough improvement to warrant the replacement to match the new mains, or will the CSI 40 integrate seamlessly with the new A7 or A9?

I'm using A7's in my HT rig with a CSi40 and I can say it's totally seamless. Save your money.SDA-1C (full mods)

another option is sell your current center, then get a csi5 for like 225 on ebay from Polk. csi5 is like csia6 in different box; same drivers and crossover

So the driver's and crossovers are different from the CSI40 to the CSI A6? I know that the box and such is all new.

yes, way different. they don't share anything.

Don't change it out until you have listened to it with your new speakers. You might not be able to detect a difference, thereby saving some money. You can always change it out later.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2

Decided to get the A6 for a perfect match to the A9's. Thanks for the input.
