Budget (sort of) BDP

Hello All.
I need some wisdom here on a BDP for my parents new theater set-up. Looks like they have given me the go ahead on purchasing everything, all I have to do is decide what.
For now, they want to go with in-walls/in-ceiling speakers for the 5 channels. I really like the RC (i) series Polk has on Ebay right now so I have a pair picked out for the fronts/rears. Only problem is I can't seem to find an in-wall center to match, or, for that matter, I can only find one or two at all. Any more ideas on this? Polk also has the PSW 125 which I'll probably get for the sub.
As for the receiver I might go with the Onkyo TX-NR609 refurb unit. I've purchased refurb Onkyo stuff before and never had an issue.
They are taking care of the TV. Probably a 48-54" HDTV.
That pretty much just leaves the BDP. My dad likes Polk and Onkyo but told him from what I've read that the cheaper Onkyo unit (BD-SP309) doesn't seem to be doing real well in reviews and that I'd like to look at something else. But what? Does anyone have a BDP that has been reliable and upconverts well? Most of their disc collection is DVD but, like me, anything new they purchase will be BluRay. I'm looking at a price range of 1-200 smackers. The unit would pretty much only be used for movies. (I didn't realize there were so many choices when you are just dealing with HDMI hook-ups)
Any and all input would be greatly appreciated!

I have the Sony bdp 470 and like it a lot. It goes for a bit over $100.Main System:
Front: SDA 2ATLs
Center: CS2
Surround: M40s
Sub: PSW505
Receiver: Pioneer VSX-1121k
Amp: Carver AV 705x
TV: Samsung LN52A650
Media Player: Chromecast/Boxee Box
BD Player: Sony BDP-S470
Consoles: Xbox360, Wii U -
I just used the same model speaker as the fronts for my center...actually I used RCi85's all around. As for the BDP, the Panasonic DMP BDT-**** are pretty well reviewed budget players. I've got the BDT-210 and like it real well.2 channel - Willsenton R8 tube integrated, Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE DAC, audio optimized NUC7i5, Windows 10 Pro/JRiver MC29/Fidelizer Plus 8.7 w/LPS and external SSD drive, PS Audio PerfectWave P3 regenerator, KEF R3 speakers, Rythmik F12SE subwoofer, Audioquest Diamond USB cable, Gabriel Gold IC's, Morrow Audio SP5 speaker cables. Computer - Windows 10/JRiver, Schiit Magni 3+/Modi 3+, Fostex PMO.4n monitors, Sennheiser HD600 headphones

Oppo BD-93 works well for me. Fantastic DVD picture quality, and the BR of course is even better.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
Sony XA-5400ES SACD; Pass XP-22 pre; X600.5 amps
Magico S5 MKII Mcast Rose speakers; SPOD spikes
Shunyata Triton v3/Typhon QR on source, Denali 2000 (2) on amps
Shunyata Sigma XLR analog ICs, Sigma speaker cables
Shunyata Sigma HC (2), Sigma Analog, Sigma Digital, Z Anaconda (3) power cables
Mapleshade Samson V.3 four shelf solid maple rack, Micropoint brass footers
Three 20 amp circuits. -
Other than the slow as Moses interface i really like the BDP-93. But if it were my budget I'd go with a matching Onkyo BDP/SACD. Probably get one refurb for 250 or so and you wont have a sea of remotes to deal with. My next rig will come on a pallet from one manufacturer (less speaks pf course) I am tired of the time spent on synergy and remote compatibility as I am sure your parents wouldn't want to deal with either.Too much **** to list....
