DAC - reasonably priced

Possibly looking for a DAC to be a temporary addition to my Squeezebox Touch set-up until my CA 840C is repaired.
2 channel - Willsenton R8 tube integrated, Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE DAC, audio optimized NUC7i5, Windows 10 Pro/JRiver MC29/Fidelizer Plus 8.7 w/LPS and external SSD drive, PS Audio PerfectWave P3 regenerator, KEF R3 speakers, Rythmik F12SE subwoofer, Audioquest Diamond USB cable, Gabriel Gold IC's, Morrow Audio SP5 speaker cables. Computer - Windows 10/JRiver, Schiit Magni 3+/Modi 3+, Fostex PMO.4n monitors, Sennheiser HD600 headphones

    If you like the Cambridge house sound, check out the DacMagic. It's not as refined, but it'll get the job done.

    yeah, i was looking at the dacmagic at $347 shipped not a bad deal. Just looking as a temporary fix until my CDP is repaired. I would like to buy used so that I could get most of (if not all) of the cost back. Would probably be looking in this price range or less, give or take a few bucks.

    Unless you can find a PS AUdio DLIII the CA is probably best in that price range.

    yes, I have the upgraded PS and I could use the analog outs but I just got some new speakers and I want to hear them with something more decent while I'm waiting on the repair. I just bought a used Channel Islands Audio dac over on Audiogon so hopefully that will suffice but I appreciate the offer :^ )

    IRLracefan's Dacmagic plus Pangea power supply for sale in the flea market at $390 is excellent value for the money. The Pangea really makes a noticable difference in the sound.

    Actually they are blowing out the DacMagic right now for $347 shipped because of the DacMagic Plus. It was very tempting.
