i need assistance. i am trying to track down original mid range driver for my monitor 5's. can you guys help me out by examining your monitor 5's?

if yours have the following:

peerless tweeter
single fuse on back of crossover
slight overlap between mid range and passive radiator
sealed box
crossover has 6.2ohm and 2.7ohm resistors and 33uF cap (plus another one but i can't read it)

please tell me what your mid range driver is. its probably either a MW6500 or MW6502. there seems to be some debate about it on the forum.

thanks

Don't know the cap/resistor values. But, I have the 5As with the Peerless and the correct drivers for my speakers are the 6500s. I had a 6502 and a 6500 so I had to replace the 6502 with a 6500 (improved everything...I always thought something was a bit off there).
Hopefully others will chime in. I guess specifying the values above will help "identify" the particular configuration of your speakers, because we all know that there is some variation in what drivers Polk used here and there (transitional models in any series, that is).

Hi I'm new here. I need a 6502 driver but will the one you offer for $20.00 sound the same in order to match the other speaker? And will it fit the poening without modifing the cabinet? Thanks Steve. I'm in CT.
