More info, please. Are the speakers new to you or have you had them a long time? Did this just start or has the sound issue always been there? How are they set up? That is how close to the side walls, how far from the back wall, what's in between them, are they toed in or parallel to the back wall?

If we're lucky maybe Tour2ma will chime in to say that I'm being mean to you or not offering the kind of help he thinks I should. So, cross your fingers and toes.

What's up Alex, here are some ideas for troubleshooting.

First, check everything else besides your speakers. Your electronics and cabling. Once you're finished with that, do it again. Last thing you want is your speakers taken apart to find out the problem was the balance knob on your pre.

Turn the music up to a moderate level. Touch each mid driver lightly to feel if it's moving. Both speakers have a stereo driver and a dimentional driver that should be vibrating almost equally when music is being played through them. If you find that one of the mid drivers is not moving, or moving significantly less than the other, then there is a problem that could be any number of things.

If you do find a speaker not moving or moving significantly less, swap it out for one of the working drivers (stereo or dimentional just to test, but make sure you take some notes or download the schematics so you don't mix things up when reassembling). You'll know it's not the driver if it's still dead.

I had a cold solder joint on one of my crossovers which made my dimentional driver hardly move when playing music at any level. This could be what you're experiencing. What happened with mine is I would apply pressure to the crossover and the dimentional driver on my left speaker would work intermittently. I found and repaired a cracked joint by heating it and applying more solder. The problem was gone. It's hard sometimes to find the "cold" or "cracked" joints. In fact, I missed it after a couple of inspections. Do some research on "cold solder joints."

Also, get rid of that polyswitch if it's still in there and hear what you've been missing. Plenty of threads on it.

    Good luck!

Even a dead driver will vibrate due to the air pressure fluctuations inside the cabinet. Same principle is what "powers" the passive radiator.

If you REMOVE the drivers one at a time, and feel for vibration when they're out of the cabinet (speakers playing music at low-ish volume) a dead driver is readily apparent.

IF (big IF) you have a non-playing driver, you then need to discover if the driver is defective, or if it's not getting signal from the crossover. An AC voltmeter would be handy.

You might try the balance control for a quick test -- when the balance is all the way to one side, you should still hear the 'dimensional' signal coming from the other side. At least I can on my system.
