from what ive read it is good to own a power conditioner to keep all the elctronics from a brown out or any other power malfunction. Have you or do you use one? Is there any noticeable difference in anything? And what brand or model would you recommend? i'm sure there will be difference in opinion here so lets keep on topic please and not argue about who has the bigger *%$#

The most often discussed (probably because they are reasonably priced) seem to be the APC-H15 mentioned above by thsmith, and the Belkin PF30 & PF60. The main difference between the two is that the APC-H15 has voltage stabilization and consequently is more expensive. There are plenty of positive comments for both and I haven't read any bad comments about either. Many people have commented on both sound and video improvements with both brands. I have the PF60 and am very happy with it. If you're generally interested in audio/video filtering both do a good job. If your looking for added surge protection both are similar in specs. If you're on a constrained budget, the PF60 is quite a bit cheaper. If your area is experiencing frequent brownouts it sounds like the H15 may be a better bet.
