    Gonzo,
My Anthem allows me to adjust the bass using a feature called Room Resonace Eq. Does your new preamp have the same feature? I can adjust the lower frequencies to eliminate any spikes or dips in the low end, this allows for a smoother bass response.

    Gonzo,
When you say that you calibrated, which did you use--a setup DVD (DVE, Avia, Sound & Vision) or the Sunfire's internal test tones? The TGIII's sub test tone is pretty flat across all the frequencies v. the DVDs' (which usually center their tones at 40hz or so). In my room (and before equalization), calibrating to the Sunfire tone results in a much lower level of bass than using AVIA. If you used the test tone, try Avia (and vice versa). In my case, I had some nasty peaks and nulls that I trimmed out using a BFD as a parametric equalizer.

    Regards,
    Brian

    bhenchey,
great system you have there! rocket and PB4 got to be awesome. Any chance you could snap pics and post to system showcase? I am always curious with the rockets...
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I'm planning to take pictures as soon as my custom entertainment center is installed (hopefully this weekend). I've been lurking on the forum since about this time last year, when I started off the whole HT-thing with Polk Rti70's, CSi40, RTi38's and a PSW650.

I've made a few changes since then...
