i was at a stereo shop this weekend and the guy there was talking about placing multiple subs in a room and he had an easy way of deciding where to put them...idk if it works, u guys tell me.
first place the sub where you will be sitting and walk around the room until it's the loudest...place the sub there
then walk around the room to where its the quietest and place the second sub there
does this actually work? has anyone tried it?

I've tried it, didn't work. The first way worked better. Then stack em in that spot. Also, louder isn't always better. You want to crawl around until it sounds best. Louder usually translates to boomier in terms of placement. This is usually deep into a corner.Graham

I agree. I have 2 subs and it will drive you MAD trying to figure out what sounds better. Couple hours/days into it you just say efff it and cant remember what sounded the better than last 10 positions. Stack em in the corner. I have found that provides the best "ear" performance. Havent "truly" calibrated my gear but from the posts in hear it leans more towards stacking. And i'm alomst sure you gain 2-3 db from soing that alone. And if i am worng someone will correct me. But good luck!
BTW
Save up and buy a SVS. I havent even heard one yet (faster;) ) but i am already sold!
Good Luck!Life without music would♭
