so i accidentally bought a hd600/4...... is that too much power for the sr6500? I have read on some of the post here that many of u when dealing with 75 rms or a 100rms you advise to turn the gains down to a comfortable level. will 150 rms be too much for the sr6500 woofers to handle? im going to bi-amo them and use the full potential of the sr6500 woofers. and on the tweets i plan to not use all 150 rms. im going to go by ear for the tweets

You will be fine. You would only use 150W at MAX volume. This would be rare. Even you turn it down by -3db you cut the power in half putting you at 75W which is plenty safe.Audison Bit Ten

SRs are rated for 125rms so giving them 150 is not too much by any means especially given that in real world you will never actually get 150rms.
So yes, absolutely no issues with this wattage as long as you don't boost or clip.2008 Nissan Altima

It is an important concept that many people just don't know about.
Twice the power = 3db which is 1.25 times as loud.
Twice the loudness = 10 db which is about ten times the power.Audison Bit Ten
