I have one finished and made some improvements over the previous one posted in an earlier DIY thread. I wrapped all the shelves with nicely figured maple. Alot of extra work, but worth it IMHO. The top/bottom natural plates are 2" thick and all edges on this rack are beveled. Five adjustable shelves. No shipping but I am willing to deliver or meet for fuel costs. I am in NW PA, near Erie. $1750 for this one.

Beautiful. What are the 4 uprights made of and what are their dimensions. Also how are things jointed to the top and bottom shelves. And one more thing, are the adjustable shelves solid or laminated over plywood/mdf. How tall, wide, deep. Did I say they are Beautiful?

Thanks! The uprights/rails/stretchers(framework) are all 2 1/4" solid maple(not glued up). The top/bot plates are just laying on corner braces and can easily be screwed in from the bottoms. I don't think it is needed since the 2" thick maple is heavy enough to stay put. Easier to move, but I will secure them if someone wants. The entire frame is mortise/tenon and as mentioned, have hidden corner braces underneath the top/bottom. Approx 48" tall x 24.5" wide x 18.5" wide. Shelves will hold gear up to 19.5" wide and 18" deep. No ply, veneer or mdf. 100% solid maple. The sun isn't letting me capture the figure, esp on the top. I will take some better pics later.

What type and color is the stain? Very nice work BTW.

No stain. It is aniline dye. Color is my own mix that I "invented"

The wrapped edges are a really nice touch. Beautiful work!

Still up for grabs. Might consider a partial trade for a good cdp, preamp(w/remote) and cash.

    Jeff,

    Nice work!

Are you considering the trade for both a preamp and cd player or one or the other plus cash?

I guess it would depend on what they are? Shoot me an email (not a pm) with what you might have in partial trade at musky1963@adelphia.net Jeff

Okay, I need to move this rack soon.........somehow? Since a few are interested at a much later date, I can't really wait that long or I will be building a custom doghouse. I will consider a nice ss amp to drive 2.3tls's or/and cash. Maybe a good TT or CDP in the mix? Whatever may work?

I will consider a possible trade of sorts for a good SS amp? If no offers very soon, then it will be off to agon.
