Mass interference with the PC

Anyone else have interference when they scroll their mouse? LOL I know it sounds funny but really. When I click or scroll I get little thumpy sounds from my sub and tweets (probably all drivers but most notably in the sub.)
It's definitely from the PC. Shut the PC down = no thump.
Is this a driver corruption or what? Any Ideas?
Thanks, Dan

Probably the PC's power cable runs too close behind the sub.Gears shared to both living room & bedroom:

That is bizarre. Does it do it with multiple mice or just one in particular? Have others you can try? Have you changed anything in the PC recently?

The pc is 10 ft from the sub on the opposite side of the system. the only connection between the two it the PF60 that they both plug into. It still does it when I plug the pc in elsewhere. It does it with both mice. There also seems to be some sort of activity when a video is playing of animated advertisements. It is NOT the Monitor.Too much **** to list....

I think that narrows it to the vid card then. Perhaps try reverting to an older driver, or a different video card if you have a spare.

Vid card...Thanks Syndil I'll look into it.Too much **** to list....

I had the same issue, while gaming it became worse. Turns out it was a bad ground in the case itself."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

I'm not sure how you get a bad ground in a case, as long as it's steel. Each mounting screw on the motherboard grounds to the case, and you only need one. The power supply also grounds to the case, and then has ground connections to the motherboard, and every device in the computer. I could see the case having poor shielding, but that shouldn't change over time. -
does that put us back to the vid card? it does seem to act up with animation.Too much **** to list....

Can you post all the components in your PC and advise how it's hooked up to whatever powers your sub.

SDA1C, how is your PC connected to your rig? I had the issue when connected via HDMI, coax, and optical. Only asynchronous USB didn't carry the noise."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -
I think the way to troubleshoot this would be to start with the easiest things to fix and work your way to the hardest. I still suspect the video card, so the easiest thing to do would be to revert to an older driver for the video card. You can do that by finding your video card in the Device Manager, right-clicking on it, and clicking on "Roll Back Driver." If that doesn't do it and you have a spare video card laying around, you can swap them. Or if you have on-board video that you can enable, you can do that and remove the video card. If that still doesn't do it, then chasing a grounding issue would be next. Could be as simple as a loose mounting screw on your motherboard, or could be a faulty voltage regulator IC on the motherboard or PSU. In other words, taking everything out and putting it back in the same case might fix it (as I suspect probably would have in Face's case), or you may need a new PSU or motherboard.

I assume the quality and or price of case could be the problem.

LOL are you kidding me? Its an effin PC lol that's all I know. I am connected via 1/8th to rca. Rudimentary at best but check this out... I unplug the 1/8 from the headfon and it gets worse. I have found a bit of a solution but it doesn't completely get rid of it. I plugged the tv directly into the wall, put my pre and amp to the audio filter on the pf60. I put the sub and the oppo to the digital filter and the ps3 to the #2 digital filter. Now it doesn't seem to be as reactive to animation but it rumbles more when at idle. If I unplug the monitor(tv) and the pc it's sex again. Also I got a bad thump when I unplugged the printer from the pc but the rest didn't go away. I can hear (I think) every time the router goes to down load. Freakin weird man!Too much **** to list.... -
No external DAC in your rig?
I would not use an analog connection from your PC to your rig unless you have a very good sound card."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -
I can definitely hear it downloading. I dont have the option to roll back the driver so I opted to update. As soon as I did the rumbling went crazy.Too much **** to list....

Too late...why is that? Because it could cause this issue? lolToo much **** to list.... -

Time to try a spare video card or on-board video. Is your PC a brand name model or a build-it-yourself?

Ok that model does have integrated graphics. Have you added a video card to it? What was the name of the Display Adapter in the Device Manager that you updated drivers for?

The sound card is probably integrated also, and wasn't designed for high end audio use in mind...probably just a small set of desktop powered speakers. A new video card won't fix the problem."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Never saw that coming. Glad you figured it out. Still having a hard time figuring out exactly how that configuration would produce the results you were getting.
