Onkyo C-S5VL Super Audio CD/CDplayer

Does anyone own this player or has heard one, I'am putting together another 2 channel rig for the SDA's I recentley got and was wondering if this player is any good was $599.00 at Amazon it is on sale for $359.00. I dont really want to start collecting a lot of SACDs as I have a lot of CD's, I also am considering A Marantz CD6004 or a Cambridge 650C. I was wondering if someone can give me some advice Thanks

    i had one and loved it.Great Wolfson DAC.Sweet sound.Only sold it after upgrading to Marantz 15S2

    So did you like that Onkyo? I hear it upscales red book CD's and has four different filters and sounds good on SACD's no one has the Onkyo here to demo but I have demo'ed the CD6004 and the 650C they are nice players in my Budget, I have a CD5004 and like that one a lot. My Technics Player still sounds good to me.

    I have one and enjoy it. Paid 315 for mine (called Vanns and told them that JR had it for $350 and they beat JRs price by 10%). I have not yet ventured much into the SACDs but it is great to have the option. One annoyance is that the remote does not turn the power on!?!? This is not such a great problem unless you listen to the SAME cd again and again. It is not as detailed as my CA 740C which upsamples the data (the Onkyo does not upsample) but it is darn good and plays SACDs. No regrets here.
