This unit has an issue with the volume. Often when changing the volume, it will distort loudly and the volume will spike. I took it in to a local shop and it was supposedly repaired for $80, but the problem arose again. I couldn't return it because at the time I wasn't listening to it much so my warranty period passed before it acted up on me again. I called Rotel and was told the average repair cost based on what I was describing was $200-400 at an authorized repair shop. Cosmetically it's in great shape. Unit is the silver front. I'm looking to get $100 + shipping CONUS.

If you're handy enough to fix this yourself, you'd have a nice cheap pre- OR you could make a quick couple hundred bucks.

Newbie, but from long term A-Gone and since I own a lot of Polk speakers, I thought I should join here.
I'm interested in the the RSP-1068. I have older schematics for another unit the RSP 976 for it and maybe able to get it working though I'm still learning.
Bottom Price? I want you to feel fair about the deal...just have to be concerned about the repair costs on an unknown unit.

For now, $100 + shipping is my best price.

Worst case scenario based on repair prices from Rotel leaves the buyer paying $500. A little high for this unit, but again that's worst case scenario.

I'm really picturing the buyer being someone who can do the repairs themselves and having a nice unit for the price.

Remote is the RR-1050. It alone is almost worth my asking price.

Take PayPal? COD. Money Order? I'm really close to this as I'm just learning how to repair as a hobby since I'm in a Wheel Chair after a car accident and need something to do.

    OK. I'll buy - $100 + shipping.

If I'm lucky, I'm not out $500 for a unit that i can pick up used for less. Life's a gamble, and I get the feeling that you are an honest and good person, and those are the types of people to do business with.

Do yo have the original shipping box? The original accessories?
I prefer PayPal, but can do whatever you prefer.
    Best Wishes.

    Not really a Churlish person... : )

Churlish is up, cincycat on deck until 3:00 CST tomorrow.

It's packed and ready...sort of. I failed to put the owners manual in the box.

In the interest of saving a little paper, here's the link. I never copied the entire thing myself, only the pages I needed.

    http://www.rotel.com/content/manuals/rsp1068_eng_fre_spa.pdf

I'll cover paypal fees for my forgetfulness.

I figured a shipping estimate to Delaware and it came out to $32, so probably a little less than that to most places.

    SOLD to cincycat.

This was a tough one as two people showed interest with no commitment. I hope there are no hard feelings and that I gave appropriate time for both parties to get back to me. I just need it gone to help pay for the Adcom I aleady bought.
