Its been in the 60's, 70's, and 80's all week and for the last couple.

My relatives in Chattanooga, TN got more snow, ice and cold weather than we did in Indy..... Been loving it!

I'm sure my friend who is in the boarder patrol is loving the fact that it is snowing in his patrol area.. given he is in the field for 7 days straight..

crazy beautiful in central MA today - upper 70s, dry, calm, deep blue sky. The turtles are sunnin' themselves on a log down at the ol' fire pond near our house...

There had been about 20 of 'em on the log when Mrs H and I first walked by... sans camera. After we finished our walk, got back to the house, grabbed the camera and a long-ish lens (cheapie Nikon55-200 mm zoom), and went back to the pond... there were many less on the log; but still good to see 'em.

The spring peepers are peeping here already.

Snowing in Arizona and mid 70s in New England! Damn odd. But don't worry. The forecast for us, almost Canadians, is back into the 40s by NEXT Monday. As it should be because we "love" our Spring-less winter to summer transitions in the mud-state. Heck, we don't even have "mud" this year because of the lack of snow!!

And Maple syrup is not rising into the trees. But at least we're on spring break!

    Nice pic, Mark!

Usually, when March comes around we have a lot of sun and mild temperatures (60-70)...

We've had 4 or 5 sunny days so far this year. That's it.
    Something's wonky.

    Keep it!

We've been enjoying sunshine and shorts! I've been in shorts all weekend and today is no exception. Chance of thunderstorm tonight here.

ALL of our snow melted in 3 days when temps skyrocketed.

Right now it's 23C(73F) out side but feels like 28C(82F) with the humidity. Miller time when I get home.

Almost 80 here today in northeast ohio  Definitely was the warmest and least snowy winter that I can remember having in this area since I have lived here. It's been nice, especially after the winter we had last year.

I think I used my snowblower maybe 5 times this past winter, really sucks for those who paid for a snow removal service. Swapped out the tires on both of our vehicles this past Sunday and took our the patio furniture so that my wife and son can sit out there this week.

Been BBQ ing for a week now. All the flowers and tree buds are talking to each other.....You first.....no way man, you go first, it's too early....suckers will be sorry.

But I see the Robins are making nests, so thats a good sign.

Tried a couple new things on the grill.....French Toast.....I know, right ? Turned out awesome. Last night I made a salad, grilled peaches, ontop of some Arugala with crumbled chunks of a smokey blue cheese, tossed in some almonds with a homemade dressing. The warm peaches melts that blue cheese but not completely, and that was also pretty frickin' good.

Being Canucks we BBQ all winter long. Nothing better than a burger or steak when it is -30 outside.

That's what I'm talking about...gotta funny Canadian story to relate:

I was TDY (US Army) at Latina Italy in the very early 90's, at a Nato school for crypto repair. The class was multi-national, consisting of Americans, British, Canadians, Spanish, German, and Turkish military students. The 2 Canadian guys were hilarious. These dudes brought like 4 coolers of food! LOL!! Our quarters were nice, and featured a common-area kitchen. Everyone else was eating donuts, candy bars, coffee and cigs for breakfast---but NOT the Canadians. Every morning these 2 dudes would cook a full course breakfast! It was funny as hell--they had quite a spread every morning.

Lower 80's highs Lower 60's low. Solar as been on pool in lower 80's, and I been in pool at times for the past week.

Note pool again this year turned yellow, oak pollen perhaps? Many chemicals needed in pool start of season, 101 lbs of salt. Never understand my salt usage, maybe an overfill issue? As the overfill is basically a pool return as a drain outlet.

Probably, salt is only lost thru splash-out or draining. I typically have to add about 7-10lbs per season to keep me at 2800ppm. I need to do another 50% drain this spring to counter climbing calcium levels. Then I need to address an iron stain.

I have a feeling we are in for an early AND HOT Summer.

eek.... I need add about 300lbs of salt every year to get it about 3000ppm.

I'm not really sure it's hotter then last year, I also was in the pool mid march last year also. Love the solar system.
