hi, anyone have any experience with onkyo's m282? thanks for any opinions.

    yes, i owned one.. sounded about as good as the internal amps of my Integra, its the exact amp as the receiver.. basically.. good looking amp and has 12v trigger,

    Yes - running it in my main theater along with my 898. Got a great price and it sounds/looks excellent. Exact same amp/counter parts as my 898. It was created specifically for the 787 (which i also own) to be used with the rear pre-outs for 7.1

    what do you consider a great price? do you think it would be ok to use it with something other than an onkyo receiver? i am considering getting one to power the woofers in rti150's.

    The 282 is not really what your looking for. You want a sub amp or something like Carver or any other Strong Current 2 channel amp. Look on Ebay - they are plentiful.
    I got mine 282 from Crutchfield scatch and dent for a little over $200.
