omg i think this fits the bill HD900/5 by jl audio it has 100 rms @1.5-4 to 4 channels and 500rms to sub at ANY OHM XDD and im pretty sure it has good sq so i can run a two way and a sub cuz my sub currently is one 13w6 that is rated at 500rms and sr6500 are supposed to be 125rms so this amp is almost a perfect fit :D and i have enough u guys think its a good choice please comment before i buy im soooooo ganna pull the trigger

or should i buy a pa500.4 and pa1200.1 a bit cheaper and more rms to the sub but i wont be able to put enough ( not sure what is enough or too little my first time doing the 4channel or any power to speakers) watts to the sr mid since dont i have to match the 125rms the the woofer right?? i know tweeter doesnt need that much and i can adjust that.

PA500.4 and PA1200.1 will do great.
so will HD900/5. So will a lot of other amps.

PA amps will give you more wattage but will also take up a LOT more space in your trunk. If space is not an issue (or not a BIG issue) then i'd say PA. I personally also like to have 2 amps - more power, dedicated power source, easy(er) troubleshooting when needed and also an opportunity to aways be able to simply get a different mono block if you got a different sub or a different 4-channel in case you want/need one for whatever reason.

As for a 5-channel amp - they are usually limited to wattage comparing to 2 separate amps but they take up a lot less space, they are easier to wire up (no distro blocks or 2 separate power wires) and you know that your speakers and sub will actually turn on at the same time. They usually cost a bit less if you compare them to 2 separate amps but imo people get them mostly for small footprint.

but the HD900/5 does more for the four channel than does the 100rm @ 4ohm and either 12v or 14v and pa500.4 does less at even 2 ohm and even lesser at 12v which is what i have

i really need a four channel sq amp for when i listen to my music it sounds like its missing something what i am guessing is midrang or midbass for there are songs i love in my home system and studio headphones but i the car the part i really like sounds like it is on low volume and the highs to high and the lows to high while the middle is lacking in a way im not really sure what part but im not enjoying it and im guessing a 4 channel will fix it

im about to buy one off jl audio site :) the JL Audio HD900/5 and if i dont like it ill just sell it and make most of the money back ill just lose a few Benjamin or i might get it all back XD

the reason why i went this rout is its cheaper for no more distribution block(15-30$) extra 20' ft of 4ga (6-7$ per ft) and it only like 2''x10''x8'' and not 3''x15''x10'' times twooo and much simpler to set up, lighter by alot and has 100rms no matter what to my sr6500 since my car runs at 12v and not 14v and matches my jl 13w6 which does only 500 rms

size was not really an issue but this way i save and its just plug away and my setup is set no adding extra crap and i do trust jl audio ( i also trust pa) so i wanted jl or pa

i do see your point to vital

i dont think i would be happy with thous..... umm wouldent they be a down grade from the HD900/5 it does 100 rms x4 and 500rmsx1 using the r.i.p.s. system amd its smaller than thouse.......

i wouldent exchange it for that only thing i would accept is a pa500.1 and a pa1200.1 for the HD900/5
