Polk RTA 11 versus AR 3a's

I'm awaiting one Mw6600 to make my new to me RTA 11's complete. I'll dig into recap/upgrade after I give a listen.
Just wanted to ask any here that are familiar with AR 3a's how these big Polks will compare. Realize this is a Polk forum and likely answers will be "better"
My main listening area consists of Adcom 500 II Pre/Tuner using Sansui 8080DB as amp with the AR's. Also have recapped Eico HF-81 driving Klipsch Forte's with Crites upgrades.
Sources are Squeezebox streaming lossless files to Music Hall 25.2 DAC with NOS Mullard tube and vinyl via BIC 980 with Ortofon F/FF.

The AR-3a will be a lot less in your face than the RTA 11. The AR-3a will sound "sluggish" compared to the RTA 11. The low end on the RTA 11 is supposed to be about 26 cycles, but I don't think I ever heard that from them. The AR-3a is probably good to about 32, and can sound/feel much deeper with the slow roll-off.
I keep almost all the classic AR speakers I can. I think I've sold eight pair of RTA 11 here by now. -
Wow - I thought the RTA 11 (non-T) were fairly rare?

I thought you were talking about the "T"s. Pretty much everything I said still, although I am not familiar with the plain 11 low-end. The "T" claimed 26 as the bottom. Like I said, never heard it here.
