Do they still have 'distilled' water in your stores? I went looking for distilled water one day -- not to be found. Replaced with jugs of 'purified' water. I don't think that stuff is actually distilled...
I can get distilled water at the local Acme. One Acme had it in the bottled drink aisle but I've seen it in first aid supplies as well. I've been in a couple Shop Rites that had it in hardware aisle. Usually, if you ask the customer service counter for it, they will tell you where it is instead of you having to search for it.
I've seen it in WALMARTs with the grocery store attached too.
Several drug stores have it too.
It sounds weird too but you might want to check a car parts store. When I worked at Pep Boys, we stocked it because it's better to use distilled water in your vehicle's cooling system than tap water. In fact, we often ran out of distilled water because people would buy it for other reasons and we'd send them to the Acme next door.
It's honestly not real hard to distill your own water either.

Safeway, Wegmans & Wallymart all carry it in central MD -
Now I don't even remember what I wanted it for. A steam cleaner, car battery, or something of the sort. I do use the Brita pitcher for my espresso machine, and tap water for drip coffee.

Put a rain barrel under your downspout...........cept.....you might get some polutants or acid with your rain water !:sad:

Already got that - but the rain barrel water belongs to the wife, and is designated for the vegetable garden!
