CDP on top of amp vents???

Now this is crazy. I've heard that those 840A's run a little on the hot side. I've been halfway looking for one but not sure I'd want one that's been suffocated for a year. Those amps have 2 rows of vents along the top. Seems to me if you wanted to stack them you'd do it the other way around.

    The 840W amp run hotter than Hades. The 840A integrated has less power, but the same technology. Audio Advisor is having a close out sale now on the 840A V2 to make way for the next generation. I am halfway thinking of buying one myself, but I really do not have a room that needs a stereo. :cry:

    Yeah, all they have left at AA is the black. I'd like the silver to match my 840C. I also don't want to pay full price because I just don't see it supplanting my tube integrated, but I would like to see what kind of synergy it would have with the matching CDP.

    I agree. I wonder what this guy thought those vents were for anyway.
