Continuing the sell off....
I used this as the transport in my 2CH system. I've kinda always considered this a cd player that can play dvd's. This uniy is in very good condition with a few light scratches on the top. Plays DVD-A and has handled any burnt disc I have ever thrown at it.
It's black in color and comes with the remote and the original packaging. Here's a link:

Sony 9000ES is a fantastic SACD player, and can be had for dirt cheap prices and was a predecessor of the fabled 777ES. It can be modded as well. It's a standalone player and not a trnsport, but Sony developed some of the best SACD players out there.design is where science and art break even.

sorry i meant the 9000ES was the successor of the 777ES. they're both awesomely heavy. like 40lbs. I think the 777 was over 50lbsdesign is where science and art break even.

PM's are a beautiful thing guys. If you want to talk Sony's that do SACD then please do it that way. The Cambridge does redbook as good as any player you'll find at this price level and I'd appreciate it if we kept this thread devoted to what this player can do not what it can't.

Sorry about the thread-jack. I still believe this is a pretty good buy on a pretty good player...I already have a DVD-A player. Am still considering it and may regret not jumping if it gets swooped.

Dave, I appologize. I don't know what I was thinking. I got caught up in that thought and forgot it was a sale thread. Again, I sincerely apologize. total DH move.design is where science and art break even.
