Any Direct Buy members out there....LsiM cheap
I am a direct buy member and have seen on there website that they now carry Polk lsim speakers. Unbeatable price on them. Putting my order in soon. They are on a two to four week delivery. They also carry PSB line,JBL as well polk RtiA line and Tsi line.
Very happy to see they are in good partnership with Polk. Putting my membership to good use again

Isn't it something like 5k membership fee? I heard that Direct Buy is great if you are doing reno's or spending quite a bit of change.

What kind of discount are they offering? Looking for some LSI M speakers but was looking for a sale.
Thanks -
Yes obviously going and getting a membership just for the speakers is not worth it. But if you already have a membership then the deal can be had. I got my membership 3 years ago when we built our house and have saved a lot of money. In one year I saved the cost of the membership 3 times over.
Just wanted to put the post out there for fellow members that they sell the Polk line. I can not advertise prices, but will say that the price just for a pair of 707's alone is almost half of what they are selling for other places. -
Yeah, that's a good call. I almost jumped on a membership just to get my RTiA's. Still might one of these days, once your foot is in the door, prices on everything else will make you want to buy everything else.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

Yeah, if you're buying for yourself. Strict rules with that membership, no price quoting, no buying for family and friends. A membership there is a real test of integrity.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

You can buy more than one pair. I could buy 10 pair if I wanted, but if they catch me trying to sell them directly to someone in new condtion( not used at all) your membership is gone. Strange how they do it. I build houses for a living and use them to buy all the appliances to put in the homes. They have no problem with doing that at all. I buy usually 5 to 7 fridges,stoves,washer/dryer etc a year. So if I buy say a set of 703 speakers, unpack them, use them then I can sell them, but I'm sure if I did that 7 times a year they might question it. But then again I'm really not sure if they would question it. I've never had a problem with them before.

You should of bought two memberships for 16K then get two pair for free. That's an even better deal -
Buy 7 pairs for the houses you are building...hook them up for 5 secs to make sure they work and then post them in the FM...

How much you want to spend on a set. .?Ordered two sets of 707's in black. One for me, other for my brother inlaw who decided to back out as he got a set of used kef's instead, which I wasn't really concerned about as I don't think I will have trouble selling them.
Not sure if I will sell the other set yet as I may just keep them to run as front wides. But then I will need to purchase another amp I think, and am not to keen on that right now. -

Thought you couldn't buy for family? Shouldn't publicly state that after stating the rules for the membership. I hope no one informs Direct Buy. -

I'm telling
On a serious note though, I've never heard of this membership before, sounds interesting -

DB is not for everyone. Most people do not like it as you must do your own research and you must wait upto 6 weeks for your product. This is not direct buy's fault on shipping. It all depends on the manufacture and how fast they get it sent out.
You can get just about anything through them but they do not carry all brands, most they do. I bought a 60" LG tv through them about 2 months ago which I saved $1300 from the same tv advertised elsewhere. Think of it as boxing day sales all year long. Some things go on for a flash sale which you save much more. I bought my Samsung fridge on a flash sale and saved over $2400 from retail.
But this does come at a price. In my area I had to pay $5000 for my ten year membership. Other area's are different though. Department store do the running around ,show room advertising ect- with DB they do not. You must research things for yourself.
I am very happy I got a membership as we use it a lot. To get your money out of it you have to. Who wants to spend $5k and not use it. I think that is where they get a lot of there bad reviews-- people being lazy and do not want to do the leg work--
There is no limit to how much you want to buy and most prices are on there website. Do not listen to people saying you must go to the store and look through books to order things. Not true. All the purchases I have made through them were all done online. Very easy. People like that are the lazy ones that want everything done for them and want it now.
For us the biggest down fall is there store is located 3 hours from us, and all products must be picked up there . But really when you factor in how money we save it very worth it. What I have found is say you had a budget of $1500 for a TV. You could get a much higher end tv for about the same price,or get the same tv in your budget for much less.
If anyone has any other questions give me a PM and would be happy to answer them -
Sounds like a good summary, thanks for pointing out some of the less obvious details like picking things up at a local store, ordering online, etc. It is definitely something I will look into. I am someone who would much rather do the leg work myself to safe some money, than pay for convenience. To each their own I suppose.
