I have a Pioneer BDP-51FD bluray player in excellent working condition for sale. Hardly used at all recently, so it makes no sense for me to keep it:
$180 shipped to CONUS. Payment via paypal as "gift."
- Made in Japan
- Latest firmware (v1.72)
- Two layers of Dynamat added to the inside of the chassis to reduce resonance. This player now weighs 11 lbs
- All RCA jacks and IEC inlet cleaned with Caig Deoxit D, then treated with Deoxit Gold to enhance conductivity
- Includes all original accessories and box
- In addition to the stock power cord, as a bonus, I will also include a 3ft Asylum power cord (also treated with Deoxit D and Gold). In my rig, this PC bested the Signal Magic PC, Signal Digital Reference, MAC HC Soundpipe, and Pangea AC14SE on this player.

Owning one of these myself, I'm just about certain that it doesn't decode SACD ... but it does have Wolfson DAC's!

No SACD or dvd-audio, but it does make a great cd transport or even full-blown player, as well as a solid bdp with great pg and aq. Good deal considering all the upgrades and original box.

Page 10 of the manual states it DOES NOT play SACD's
I dont see anywhere that this player is a Profile 2.0 player. Is that true?"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -

I hooked up the player directly to a multichannel tube amp (Dared DV-6C) via its 5.1 analog outs before I had my SC-25 AVR and was surprised how good it sounded. High quality DACs combined with a more direct signal path is the real deal, folks.

I haven't used it in this fashion, but doesn't it decode the new HD audio formats for output over 7.1 analog for receivers that don't have HDMI?
EDIT: this is from the firmware section of the product support page:Firmware Ver 1.32
- Enables the following new functions. Refer to the Operating Instructions addendum "Notice on the Addition of Functions" for details.
1. DTS-HD audio output
Converts DTS-HD audio to linear PCM for HDMI OUT (MAIN) terminal.
Converts DTS-HD audio to analog audio for the AUDIO OUT (7.1 ch) terminals.
...Alea jacta est! -
Yes it does, which is what prompted me to try the direct-to-amp connection in the first place. The only downside is no source selection, but if you only use one source then it's a moot point.

Is the 3ft Asylum power cord available by itself?
-
I'm selling it as a package because it has such an excellent synergy with the player, but if the buyer wants just the player by itself then I'll part out the Asylum PC.

sold locally. The Asylum power cord is now available for sale by itself. $45 shipped CONUS.
