The FOX TV show "Alcatraz" is currently filming, or updating, the classic car chase between a Mustang and a Charger originally made famous in the movie "Bullitt". Let's go to the photos....

Pics of recreation of "Bullitt" car chase

Hey! There's that green VW Bug again!

Now all they need is a couple guys in black suits with crew cuts.

Danny, they have been playing that movie on Turner Classics lately.
I sat down and watched the whole "cool" movie.
In HS in Utah, this movie was show in the gym as an after school movie.
    The cars were cool.

I have seen the movie a number of times on AMC as well. I love it!

Watch it on Turner Classics, No Ads, uncut. AMC SUCKS!!! They cut and censor movies and it stinks. How can a movie be a classic after they decide which part of the dialogue we cannot hear and pictures to extreme for our eyes. I do watch some on AMC even though they SUCK. Hahahahaha

It can't be Bullitt because the Mustang isn't forest green.

I was hoping with all the modern tech at their disposal, that it would be a pretty good shoot. It looked more like a Mustang commercial with no drama whatsoever. The original will not be beat.
