I have owned a PSW1000 for several years matched with Lsi15's and am happy with the sub but wish it had a remote. A friend has offered to trade a micropro 3000 new in box for my psw1000. I have a small house and have never used the sub to anywhere near its full potential. Should i make the trade or stick with the psw1000?

I had an RT3000p with CS400 front. Great for HT. Didn't like it so much for music. Decided to grab some used stuff. Set up modded LSi7s with and LSiC. Also grabbed a pair of MicroPro3000s from Ricardo. I put one of the subs in service this week. This is all powered by and onkyo 876 AVR no external amp.

I used the pink floyd DSOTM dvd with 5.1 and 1973 2 channel mix to test music. Used U571, cars 2, and Real Steel for HT check. Fills my 15x25 with ease and very quick with music. I'm sure if you PM Ricardo he can give you more ins and outs for music feedback.

The remote is ok. It is a little awkward for volume as you have to adjust the level and then watch the flashing LED light to see the setting. It does have a night mode button that cuts the volume leve 50%. It also has room location and phase adjustment at your figertips. The sub also comes with a microphone and auto calibration sequence which was nice.

Because I don't have a lot of " .1" material i had planned to go AVR front out to sub to LSi7. I MISSED that the sub does not have speaker outs. Probably not your plan if you have LSi15s but just a heads up.

I wouldnt hesitate to trade if I were you.
