What a great day it's been today...

It really has been. I've been having a very stressful past couple weeks and this week has brought forth many good things that have made me forget all about my stresses. Let me go over what has happened today:
1. My Squeezebox Touch is here! Was delivered this morning. It's been a very long week and a half+ of not listening to my main rig while I waited for this beauty to arrive.
2. Finally received my first external DAC. Not high end but a start. Already hearing differences between MP3 and FLAC. Love hearing all the extra sound I've been missing out on and I'm a believer! Wider sound stage, instrument separation... so many traits I'm picking up on and I'm just re-discovering. And this is just with my desktop rig using USB out.
3. Placed my order with Joe Abrams today for the last pair of EXp 1 speaker wires. He gave me a killer price. Great person to deal with over email and the phone. When they finally arrive, my main rig will be ALL MIT cables. (2 pairs of IC's and speaker cables) :cheesygrin:
4. A CP member received a very special item I sold which arrives without incident. I was very concerned about it making the trip in one piece but it did so and the remarks from this member have reassured me that the compliments received from this member given their employment background, really meant a lot. I'm not used to hearing that I do good work.
5. I scored a slightly used (You would think it's never been used) new Playstation 3 320GB complete with 10 games, most of which are less than 3 months old for $325. Time to go buy SSX now.
6. As mentioned in #2, my 2 channel desktop setup is finally complete! The last pieces came in from the mail and I'm happy to finally have an overdone desktop setup that suits my needs in every way.
Tonight promises to be fun once I get home and install the SQBT and DAC. Many thanks to some special folks here for teaching and helping me to evolve in this wonderful hobby. I've had a crappy couple weeks and with the possibility the engine is toast in my car, this all makes up for it.

I've had a rather sh!tty month! Gotta pay our Uncle, gotta replace 1 wheel bearing hub assembly on the wife's car, transmission just started slipping in my truck.......shall I go on? lol--Gary--
Onkyo Integra M504, Bottlehead Foreplay III, Denon SACD, Thiel CS2.3, NHT VT-2, VT-3 and Evolution T6, Infinity RSIIIa, SDA1C and a few dozen other speakers around the house I change in and out.
