Polk Audio DXI 525's
I recently put new speakers in my Jeep after getting tired of the Infinity krappa's that were in there. I was always a die hard Infinity guy but, ever since Arnie Nudell and Cary Christie left and not to mention Harmon/Kardon bought them they have gone mass market. The tweeters of the Krappa's would make your ears bleed. Anywho's I was converted to Polk after I took a listen at an auto shop and really love the sound Polk has. On the DXI 525'S what would be a good bass center of frequency for them 60hz,80hz,100hz or 200hz? What about the HPF? I have 80hz,120hz and 160hz. It seems 80 on certain songs is too much bass though. I have my Polks hooked up to the KTP 445 Alpine power pack with the CDA 9886 head unit. I have a 12 inch Alpine subwoofer in a downfire box driven off a MRD-M605 400x1 RMS amp and plan to get a Polk Audio sub in there one of these days to complete everything.
