Fleabay, Blessing in disquise?
I just got sniped out of a nice vintage pair of monitor 10's, at the closing seconds of course!(should have used the buy it now, but oh well)
Anyway, I was thinking about setting my sights on a pair of sda's if they become available..
The question i have is this.....Will my 105 watts per channel high current onkyo integrated amp have enough power to properly drive a set of sda's? It's a beast of an amp, and i'm sure the monitor 10's would have been a great match, but i don't want to have to upgrade my whole system for a pair of speakers..
And yes, they are gonna have to be old school monitors or sda's to help me get through this midlife crisis!
anybody's input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Which Onkyo do you have? I have an A-809 that was terrific, but is on the shelf due to a bad channel. Loved it when it was working.
And DB is correct, 105 watts ought to be fine (although you would get even better performance from an even better amp).
BTW, welcome to Club Polk!

Update.....Just sniped somebody out of a pair of monitor 7's, so touche'..
I'm in Crown Point, Indiana...I've Been a fan of polks since the late 80's when an audiophile friend had a couple monitor 10's..He kept trying to get better speakers and time and time again the monitor 10's always sounded better!
I'm gonna give the moniter 7's a listen and may even sacrifice my overture 1's if i need to..
The onkyo integrated amp is the a809 integra, It should be a real good match with the 7's..
Thanks for all the input, and any other ebay sniper programs worth mention?
