Approx. a month ago, I had a tune-up done on my S-10. In order to get to the spark plugs, you have to through the front wheel wells. There is a rubber and canvas curtain that hangs down, held in place with plastic anchors.
Did they remove the anchors and curtain, to get to the engine? NO, they cut the friggin curtain, in two places, on both sides of the vehicle!
Now, when I turn the wheel too far, I get this horrendous grinding noise.
Thanks, you f&*%ing HACKS!
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

Uck, we call those fender liners. A lot of times the retainers are one time use only, unless your very careful. I'd ask them to replace them, otherwise fine a pair of used ones if it bothers you that much.

Why do you feel the need to bad mouth AAA Care Care Centers? Name the particular one that caused your woes and be done with it. It's like blaming all of FedEx because of something a branch office did.
If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

    I have a '98 S10 I bought brand new.
Went to put a stereo in it and there was a Morgan silver dollar taped under the dash.
You checked under your dash lately?

Whaaaaaat!! Crazy!! I had a 98, red, extended cab 4cyl/2wd! My favorite vehicle ever, until the head gasket blew and cracked the head. I should have kept it, but other things in life at the time made me get a sedan. Such is life...

I've got a Blazer, same thing as far as spark plug access goes. When I changed my plugs the first time, I did the same thing. Way easier to cut a vertical slit in the shield than remove it. Just tuck it behind the upper control arm mount away from the wheel & it's fine.

What they should have done is come to you and said the typical way to access the plugs is to cut a slit in the sheath and take you out there to show you. Or we can remove the sheath and re-install it but the parts aren't in stock and it's going to cost you $xxxx amount more.

And then let you decide if you wanted them to cut the slit or pay extra to remove and re-install what sounds like a single use component. No surprises for you later on and a happy customer that won't bad mouth them.
