Monitor 10A drivers?

What model of MW driver came in the Monitor 10A. Or if more than one was used what were the possibilities for interchangeability?
If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of Progress?!


Monitor 5Jr, Monitor 5, RTA12, RTA 15TL, SDA 2A, 1c, SRS 2, 1.2TL, CRS, Atrium.

    pretty sure mine have the MW6500's. If you pull one out of the cabinet, it should have a sticker on the back of the driver.

    I checked the sticky on the schematics. there are several schematics for Monitor 10 but none say "A". However i did notice on this schematics that the 10's used either the 6503 or 6501. wasn't sure how this applied to the 10A's.
    If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of Progress?!

    The schematics can be helpful for the crossover values for caps and resistors, but what is more appropriate is what is sitting in front of you.... pull the drivers and see what you have. I have 2 sets of 10's one early w/ the peerless tweeter and single fuse on back,that uses 6500MW's and the latter 10C's maybe with no fuse on back and uses SL2000 tweeter. It also has MW6500 drivers. I know 6503's were used in the 10's as well and believe they are a lower ohm impedence driver. I am by no means an expert so I'm not trying to stir up the pot. Just open yours up and see what you have- pull the drivers and you can check cap values on the speaker binding post cup.
    What tweeter does yours have? Can you provide some pics for the experts to chime in?

    Actually i don't have a pair of 10A's. I have a guy that wants to trade me the drivers from his 10A's for some other equipment. he says the decals are gone. the cabinets were junk so he yanked the drivers and crossovers and trashed the cabinets. he no longer has the crossovers for any reference either. The trade is probably worth it no matter the model of the speakers but if i don't know the model I'll never be able to use them, which pretty much scraps the whole deal. If I have a reference, i can then compare the DCR to what these may be to get a closer idea.

    OK I found in the sticky, the vintage replacement driver list and that shows the 10's and 10A's to have the 6500 and the 10B's etc to have the 6501/ 6503. Now, if anyone has the DCR for the 6500 driver I can compare that to these and verify if the guy is likely to be telling the truth about speaker model these are from or whether these may be something other than the 6500.
