I am looking at possibly acquiring a piece of gear in Chicago area. I am wondering if there might be someone that could pick up said item and hold it for me/possibly look at it and let me know if worth purchasing.
The item is a Carver PM-1200 amp that needs some work as one of the channels is giving out static per the ad and I will hopefully have some bigger pics shortly, but I might need someone to look at it for me as I am not sure if I can get up there tomorrow or not, otherwise it might be next weekend and by then it could be gone.
Anyway PM me if you could possibly help me out. I am trying to nail down whereabouts in Chicago the seller is to help.

Yeah, but it needs work so I am not sure. Would have to send to Rita or Rolland...... thinking I might offer something like 50 bucks just for the hell of itToo far for me, would help ya out if he was closer.

Pep you nailed it on the head .... thinking for this price (or lower like I want) I can get it now, get it refurbed at Rita's or Rollands and then use it in my system upstairs for a bit, and then later on for a VMPS sub or two ....... or flip it possibly.....
What can I say until I get my bonus in about a month I am on the super cheap gear search lol...... and I like Carver stuff....Pro amp?

I probably wouldn't have it converted so I would use RCA to balanced or RCA to TRS cables.... not sure which for now.
Here go some pics.....
