Do you have space in the back of your room for a pair? Spreading the 4 out a bit will give you very smooth bass response.

24ft x 16ft with doorways and a stairway to other rooms. They have no trouble filling the area "effortless". I got 4 so none would ever be stressed.

Well...... all I can say is the system is overkill to the 10th degree. These 4 tubes thump my ears, pound my chest without any effort at all. Not cheap but I love it. Thanks SVS.

I would have to try one mid way on each wall.

Have you used any sort room freq measurement tools?

I believe each one of those have a filter built in to the amp. My pb13 does and I needed it for the massive hump at34hz in my room.
Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)
Preamp: Joule Electra LA-150 MKII SE
Amp: Wright WPA 50-50 EAT KT88s
    Analog: Marantz TT-15S1 MBS Glider SL| Wright WPP100C Amperex BB 6er5 and 7316 & WPM-100 SUT
    Digital: Mac mini 2.3GHz dual-core i5 8g RAM 1.5 TB HDD Music Server Amarra (memory play) - USB - W4S DAC 2
Cables: Mits S3 IC and Spk cables| PS Audio PCs

Mine have the 750w bash (analog) amps. Tested with a RS analog SPL meter. I run them all wide open-20 db.
The room is flooded with bass. Phasing is correct as is polarity.
The room is so saturated, the rat shack meter measurments can't begin to describe the intense bass you hear . Just massive bass, without any strain as one would expect given the quantity of bass provided with 4 units.

Correction to post#23. I run them wide open (no ports blocked) which is the 20HZ tuning. Room comp is off.

Headroom has a quality all its own. I wouldn't hesitate to try the 16 Hz mode, too; you certainly have enough sub for it.

Opposing corner placement is usually fine for that size/shape room. While you could try all four corners per the Harman International white papers, your current placement should provide sufficient modal density to avoid major nulls at the listening position.

Since the subs are several feet behind the speakers, you'll be dealing with a bit of acoustic latency, unless your pre/pro has provisions for speaker/subwoofer distance settings to correct for this.

Absolutely correct, there is a bit of "bass lag". Nice to hear from you Ed.
