Has anyone been watching this series on the Science Channel? Ridley Scott has put this series together. It has been airing weekly during Nov. and Feb. So far they have featured Mary Shelley, Philip K. Dick, H.G. Wells, Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, Jules Verne and Robert Heinlein (I'm watching the recording now). Next Wed is the final episode featuring George Lucas. It you like Sci-Fi at all this is a great series. I think you can watch all of the past shows on the web. Not much worth watching on TV lately, so stuff like this is cool IMO.

I've got a box full of 50's-60's SciFi paperbacks. Good reading while growing up. I'll have to check the shows out. Thanks>

I saw the previews awhile back and meant to watch every one when they finally started to air them. I have forgotten about them until now. Thanks for the reminder.

I tried watching the Mary Shelley one on YT. Too creepy for my tastes. I'm amazed she wasn't committed for writing Frankenstein, considering the time period.
I'm hoping someone uploads the Jules Verne episode. That sounds interesting.I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE! -
Thanks for the heads up on "The Prophets"; love science fiction.
I need to go back and re-read some Heinlein books; loved "Have Spacesuit Will Travel" and "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress". Shows the value of a good, thrown rock.Sal Palooza -

Thank you for the heads up. I'll put a post it on the TV.
I don't and never have had a DVR. I've been kinda frugal about keeping my cable bill down to a manageble price. I called the cable last month when I saw they raised the rate on our bill. I told them my/our situation with only 1 working and medical prescriptions to buy and he switched me to another person somewhere else. I had to repeat that we have limits as to our budget for cable and this new person reduced our monthly fee to a very low price. Lower than we'd paid the previous year. That was nice! I almost went and ordered a DVR, really, but I haven't yet. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
