Hi All,
I just want to let you know that I will be winning the TSi200s in the April monthly contest (enter at http://www.polkaudio.com/contest). I know that this disappoints many of you, and I'm sorry for that.

When I do when the contest, I will have a bit of a dilemma, so I need your help. Should I replace the Monitor 5 Series 2s in my bedroom?

Or should I replace the Audioengine A5s in my office and get a tube amp and possibly a DAC?

If I replace the Monitor 5s, I'll have to get new taller stands, but if I put the TSi200s into the office system, I'll have to shop for, purchase, and find space for an Amp. Also the TSis are kind of tall to sit on a desk.

Any suggestions?

The 5B are leap and bounds better than the TSi's.

The placement of those A5s is atrocious. You are missing out on a wonderful little speaker.

I like them a lot where they are. What could I do to make it better? I've considered a few things, like getting them up of the desk a little bit, and getting the tweeters closer to, or at least aimed at ear level. Should the be closer together? Farther apart? I'm completely open to suggestions here.

    Thanks!

Dude...I have some 5As in my office and they're not going anywhere. The TSI-200s are a nice speakers but the 5s can pound out more sound and go deeper, sound smoother to me!

Waiting on my 7Bs. Was supposed to meet someone halfway yesterday but we got a foot of snow!

Audioengine's are nice near field computer speakers. I use some old Ratshack Minimus 7s and an old Kenwood silver face receiver for that purpose.

On the other hand if you have not refreshed the Monitor 5s then the TSIs will sound crisper and more detailed!

So, crossovers on the 5s and DAC and tubes on them!

    Have fun!
