I checked it out last night. I liked it. How much? I'm not sure, I'll have to see it again. It definitely has a great soundtrack, I'm sure of that much. ;)

    Great movie!
The soundtrack matched perfectly with the movie.
You can find the other songs not on the soundtrack at http://www.killbill2.net/ under rare music. Good times for all.

The hype and the belligerence directed at anyone not worshipful to this film has no effect on me. I found this movie stupid, dull, and racially ignorant. I'm not a moralist. I love The Wild Bunch, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Natural Born Killers, Platoon, Saving Private Ryan, Battle Royale, Ichi the Killer, and movies in which violence is treated with respect because it has consequences. This movie doesn't know any better. Besides I respect Chinese and Japanese culture too much to be all wowed with slaughtered asians for fun.

Gotta agree on all points with mlware.

It's certainly a movie where you either liked it or you didn't. I'm in the camp where I didn't like it.

Way too much senseless violence, bad editing, terrible dialog, no character development ( I couldn't root for Uma's character), and the final battle scene with Lucy liu was a big let down.

I will give Quentin kudos for referencing it's roots for the Asian cinema but that's where it stops. Asian cinema is so much more than this !

I have to disagree..it wasnt just a nod to Asian films ..its a nod to all grindhouse films from the 70's...
Blaxploitation, cult, kung fu, , spaghetti westerns, grindhouse b movies, etc...
to many of us who spent our formative years sitting in cheesy theaters watching this stuff this movie is an incredible homage to all those..
I think a lot of people just dont get the references

Personally, I don't like Tarantino's dialog in all of his movies. You could have easily switched Vivica Fox with Samuel L. Jackson and the dialog would have fit perfectly. It's just too obvious for me that it's a Tarantino.

That's me being picky but other than that, it was a good bit of entertainment.

ya cant please everyone..im mean there will always be at least one guy in the crowd thats offended..
i guess all the asians that were in the movie were offended to be in the movie as well..they were offended all the way to the bank to cash thier paychecks ..
society has gotten way too **** sensitive

in the world of movie sequels, overused cgi, remakes, and movie versions of lame tv shows calling tarantino non original is pretty ludicrous

I think you mean INSENSITIVE !! Tarantino's next few flicks will probably feature cannibilism, infanticide and a 9/11 bombing as it plays to some catchy tunes ! Oh, and not to forget it will be rated PG-13, and urged from Tarantino for all kids to see !!

This flick will always be divided. I've come across people who loved it and there are those who walked out. Just like my opinion and yours.

wow..dont how a tribute to all the old kung flicks of the 70's would prompt a future flick which includes cannibilism, infanticide and a 9/11 bombing but like you say its a difference in opinion. the only reason i started the thread was to discuss the film from a film making point of view
Its obviuosly gone into left field with the liberal rants.
Maybe Matrix Revolutions will be better cuz they use all non offensive white guys in the kung fu scenes :)

Oh god, do I have to start another 'offended' thread?
If the "asian filmpersons" weren't offended by their roles, why should you be? I think you should be after the asians, not tarantino. After all, they were the ones that accepted the roles portraying themselves as sword fodder.

I believe some people are reading way too much into this movie, its a little campy if you didn't notice...

The only movie I "walked" out on was Andy Warhols Frankenstein...MOM didnt know it was going to be like that, and she freaked and drug me outta there. If you walk out on a movie, perhaps you shouldn't have gone anyways.

Yes, but even Tarantino admitted that Kill Bill's mostly a tribute to Asian films.

LOL, I will have to ask my mom....I grew up in a liberal family to say the least. I know when he started **** the corpse, it was time to go for me apparently.....I think I grew up fine....well, maybe not.

I don't remember if it was 3D or not, but it may have been.
